TV Series Ratings Higher or Lower Game

How scoring works

Ratings are IMDb-style audience scores on a 10-point scale. You compare the hidden series against the known one — higher or lower. Tie values are excluded from the same round.

Curated pairs compare shows across genres, and other rounds can feature close audience ratings. Compare the snapshot score rather than genre prestige.

Why we curate TV matchups

Random draws between two obscure 6.8-rated sitcoms feel flat. Curated pairs pit Breaking Bad against Jersey Shore, Chernobyl against Love Island, and prestige HBO against guilty-pleasure reality — the goal is a gasp on reveal.

After the curated link breaks, the engine may still pick a nearby rating for tension. Your streak rewards both cultural intuition and number sense.

Ratings snapshot

Scores are drawn from a curated IMDb public ratings snapshot with 35+ series, ranging roughly 4.5–9.5. Each entry includes a short trivia line shown after reveal. Live IMDb votes may drift; we freeze values so your streak is fair.

Tips without spoiling every title

Prestige HBO, limited series, and classic sitcoms cluster high — but not unbeatable. Reality TV and late franchise seasons tend lower than players expect on name recognition alone.

When the tight-match warning pulses, two respectable shows are neck and neck. Trust era and genre: golden-age drama vs modern streaming comfort food rarely ties.
